Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update

blog-featured

As concerns about the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) grow, we here Spring Gardens Recovery, wanted to give you an update on how we are addressing these concerns throughout our program. Our top priority is the health and safety of our clients, their families, alumni, and our staff.

We will continue to provide the quality, comprehensive treatment services to our clients as we operate under our infectious disease protocols. In consideration of the potential risks associated with COVID-19, we have adopted additional protocols for the health and safety of our clients, their families, and staff:

  • All events on site and off site for Spring Gardens will be cancelled for now and re-evaluated as more information becomes available. The goal is to decrease the amount of people coming into our facility which includes family sessions, trainings, and meetings. This is to follow the CDC recommendations and decrease the spread of COVID-19.

We are still taking new admits-

  • Those seeking admission will be screened with questions concerning their current health, recent travel, and recent interactions with others who have traveled.
  • If a potential admission is approved to be assessed, our admissions director will repeat the screening questions before admissions and request a doctor’s note if being released from a treatment facility or traveling from high risk areas.
  • Potential admissions who answer yes to any questions or fail to meet medical criteria will be denied admission.

Within the facility-

  • Clients and staff have been instructed to practice aggressive hand washing; avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth areas; and practice respiratory hygiene.
  • Clients will have their temperature taken daily for at least a two-week period after admission.
  • Staff who are experiencing any compromise to their health are asked to stay home.
  • On-site staff will have daily temperatures taken in order to prevent possible spread of illness.
  • Daily deep cleaning will be conducted to all buildings on property and continue at that level of cleaning in order to decrease spread of virus.
  • If any clients or staff ON CAMPUS presents with symptoms: fever >100.1, dry cough, shortness of breath, fatigue we will ask them to put a mask on and seek direction from our medical team immediately. Clients and staff will be sent home with direction to consult their primary care provider.

We will continue to monitor CDC and state health department recommendations as they pertain to COVID-19. Please feel free to call or email us with any questions or concerns.
